CrowdStrike Wins Google Cloud Security Partner of the Year Award, Advances Cloud Security for Joint Customers

CrowdStrike is named 2025 Google Cloud Security Partner of the Year in the Workload Security category and announces new security features for Google Cloud environments.

CrowdStrike has won the 2025 Google Cloud Security Partner of the Year Award for Workload Security, recognizing our leadership in securing cloud environments at scale. Announced at Google Cloud Next 2025, the award highlights our commitment to joint innovation and delivering best-in-class protection for Google Cloud customers.

As part of this growing partnership, we also introduced new CrowdStrike Falcon® Cloud Security enhancements purpose-built for Google Cloud environments. These capabilities help our shared customers identify threats faster, improve their cloud security posture, and secure their AI pipelines from development to deployment.

Cloud Threat Landscape Demands Unified Protection

Adversaries continue to set their sights on cloud environments. According to the CrowdStrike 2025 Global Threat Report, cloud intrusions rose 26% in 2024 as adversaries targeted misconfigurations, unsecured APIs, and identities. Valid account abuse, the primary initial access tactic according to the report, accounted for 35% of cloud incidents in the first half of 2024.

Strong cloud security is critical amid the accelerated adoption of cloud infrastructure and rapid pace of AI development. As organizations quickly grow their hybrid cloud footprint, security teams struggle to gain the visibility they need to properly secure their workloads, data, applications, and AI models. Developers building new applications need security tools to integrate with existing workflows and address issues earlier in the CI/CD pipeline. DevSecOps teams have a growing need to scan AI code and models for vulnerabilities to reduce risk before deployment and protect AI applications at runtime.

CrowdStrike’s new capabilities help Google Cloud customers address these challenges and secure their cloud environments.

CrowdStrike Awarded Google Cloud Partner of the Year 2025

As winner of the 2025 Google Cloud Security Partner of the Year Award in the Workload Security category, CrowdStrike delivers unmatched visibility, detection, and protection across the modern cloud stack. Falcon Cloud Security is built to stop breaches in real time across infrastructure, workloads, applications, identities, data, SaaS, and AI models. With the industry’s leading threat intelligence, AI-powered detection, and deep integration with Google Cloud, CrowdStrike enables customers to innovate confidently and securely at scale.

Our mission to stop breaches has never wavered, and investments in our partnership with Google Cloud have made it possible to continue on that mission.

Protecting Google Cloud with CrowdStrike

Falcon Cloud Security delivers unified visibility and protection across the entire cloud estate — including infrastructure, workloads, applications, identities, data, and AI models — all from a single platform. Below are the new features designed to enhance security for Google Cloud customers using CrowdStrike Falcon Cloud Security.

Enhanced Image Scanning Capabilities

Falcon Cloud Security has a new command line interface (CLI) enhancement that supports faster application deployment. This feature helps teams improve security while maintaining the rapid pace of development, bridging the gap between security practitioners and developers running on Google Cloud.

Teams can now choose to keep scanned image results local or push them to the Falcon Cloud console, based on their specific needs. This allows greater control, reduces noise, and simplifies their CLI tool management. In addition, teams can use CrowdStrike’s ExPRT.AI scoring to scan images for vulnerabilities before they’re deployed in Google Cloud environments.

Extension of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Compliance Support

Organizations in key sectors such as financial services, healthcare, technology, and government are now able to enforce their data and compliance restrictions while running Kubernetes workloads with GKE on Google Cloud. This is done by monitoring for standards, such as Center for Internet Security (CIS) Benchmarks, at the cloud control plane to support compliance efforts.

With this, security teams gain visibility into misconfigurations or errors that, when left uncorrected, can result in significant fines. Customers can now more easily secure cloud deployments while monitoring for their industry-required standards and laws.

Kubernetes Admission Controller Support for ARM64

Google Cloud customers using ARM64 for its efficiency benefits can now use the Falcon Cloud Security admission controller to both ensure container images are monitored for compliance and prevent non-compliant containers from deploying. As AI adoption accelerates the use of new processing technologies, it’s critical that customers have the ability to secure their cloud workloads and maintain the pace of innovation they need to stay ahead.

Container Escape Detection for AI Workloads

Falcon Cloud Security enables developers and cloud security teams using tools like Google Cloud Run to identify and prevent malicious attempts to break out of containerized AI workloads. Attackers can use container escape to gain unauthorized access, manipulate AI models, or launch supply chain attacks on the host. By looking for indicators of attack (IOAs) and using CrowdStrike’s leading threat intelligence, the Falcon sensor can detect unusual behavior like privilege escalation and stop this type of attack. This new feature helps protect AI models and infrastructure from unauthorized access and compromise.

Each of these new integrations and features is designed to enable shared CrowdStrike and Google Cloud customers to protect their expanding cloud footprint while securing their business applications. Combined with AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM), Falcon Data Protection, and AI Red Team Services, Falcon Cloud Security delivers end-to-end protection — from build to runtime to posture management — to protect AI deployments and sensitive data on Google Cloud.
